How Much Does It Cost To Run a Lay-Z-Spa?

The cost of running a Lay-Z-Spa hot tub depends a lot on each user and how it is used. Enjoying a Lay-Z-Spa at the weekend only can actually cost you less than a takeaway or a trip to the cinema for two.

It is important to remember that no two Lay-Z-Spa users are the same and many factors can affect the running costs from the size of the Lay-Z-Spa and its volume of water to sheltered or unsheltered positioning and frequency of use to the fluctuation of outside temperatures and individual energy tariffs.

Therefore, the running costs below are simply a guide and calculated based on the current average energy prices.

Energy Efficiency

According to an independent study of comparable products by comparable brands, Lay-Z-Spa is the most energy-efficient inflatable hot tub brand.

Results from the independent test are:

1. Lay‑Z‑Spa hot tubs heat the water to 40°C faster and use less energy.
2. Lay‑Z‑Spa hot tubs use less energy to heat the water when the massage system is on
3. Lay‑Z‑Spa hot tubs use significantly less energy to maintain the temperature when massage and heating are off.
4. Lay‑Z‑Spa hot tubs offer significantly better insulation. When not heating, the water temperature drops up to 18% faster in competitor hot tubs
5. Lay‑Z‑Spa hot tubs overall use less energy and will in the long‑run cost less to run.

Additionally, all our hot tubs come with an inflatable lid and DuraPlus™ cover creating extra insulation to keep the heat in your Lay‑Z‑Spa.

*Test & results have been performed and produced by SGS laboratory. All inflatable hot tubs were tested in a room under the same conditions with the same volume of water. Top covers and lids were used for those that provided either or both..
